Benefits of Dandelion

dandlionDandelions are a common weed that grows wild mostly in temperate climates.  Dandelion is rich in beta-carotene and potassium.  The name “dandelion” means “lion’s tooth”.  Dandelions contain terpenes, sterols, po;ysaccharide, fatty acid and flavornoids.  They are a rich source of nutrients, including vitamins A, B-complex, C, and D, and minerals.  A number of studies suggest that the herb may help lesson inflamation and kill bacteria. It is also an antioxidant that fights free radicals in the body.

Digestion and Liver –  It is one of the most detoxifying herbs out there! Helps to cleanse the bile ducts and boost liver health.  The

positive effects on the liver and digestion helps the effectiveness of other vitamins and nutrients

Dandy Blend

Dandy Blend is an instant Herbal Beverage with Dandelion! I get dandelions in my diet everyday because I made the switch to drink this as coffee in the morning!  I put a couple of  tablespoons coconut oil,  a couple of teaspoons of Great Lakes Gelatin, a spoonful of raw cacao,  3 tsps Dandy Blend, 3 cups of boiling water and stevia to taste.  Blend it all up in the blender and it makes an awesome “coffee” blend!!!
